Brazilian contractors rely on the Nisula quality

If increasing the final price of a product is difficult, you must reduce the costs. What is the solution? Simply put, it is conducting a strictly controlled business, preferably near the end customer, and purchasing equipment whose operating costs are reasonable.

Thinnings completed in one go

Mikko ja Matti Vikström Oy carries out thinning projects mainly for the state-owned Metsähallitus in the Pudasjärvi area. Already 17 years ago, the company made a decision to equip their two lightweight, 10-tonne forwarders with multi-purpose harvester heads. The experience has shown that this choice was perfect due to the fact that the soft soils of their typical logging sites cannot withstand several machine passes.

Forssa invests in urban environment also in forests

The city of Forssa purchased a new Valtra N174 Active, fitted with Palfinger-Epsilon C60F86 crane with the maximum reach of 8.8 metres. The machine was equipped with three different types of Nisula heads. The 425C harvester head is equipped with grapple arms, and the accumulating energy wood head 285E+ was also purchased at the same time for the purpose of tending young forests and park forests. The purchase also included the new Nisula G22 timber grapple with soil grapples.
